Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Meets Nepalese Delegation from Sudurpashchim Province

Dehradun, 3 May 2025: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami met with a 10-member high-level delegation from Nepal’s Sudurpashchim Province, led by its Chief Minister Shri Kamal Bahadur Shah, at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. The meeting focused on strengthening the friendly ties between India and Nepal and enhancing cooperation in border areas.

Both leaders held discussions on accelerating development works in border districts through mutual coordination, promoting cultural and religious ties, boosting tourism, and improving disaster management strategies.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand and Nepal share a deep social and cultural heritage, with centuries-old historical relations. He assured full support from the Government of Uttarakhand for collaborative efforts in trade, health, education, and infrastructure development in the border regions.

The Nepalese delegation included Minister Shri Veer Bahadur Thapa, Members Shri Ghanshyam Chaudhary, Shri Naresh Kumar Shahi, Shri Jhapat Bahadur Saud, Shri Sher Bahadur Bhandari, Chief Secretary Dr. Kamal Prasad Pokharel Sharma, Secretary Shri Surat Kumar Bam, and Political Advisor Dr. Jitendra Upadhyay.

From the Uttarakhand government, Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu and Secretary Shri Vinod Kumar Suman were present during the meeting.
